Days Out & Eating Out

Days Out ...

Le Grys Farm is ideally situated for days out to the Broads, the Coast, The Waveney Valley, Thetford Forest, Norwich and the historical market towns of Norfolk and Suffolk. There is extensive information at Le Grys Farm about attractions in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Here is a taste of what is on offer...

Take a picnic, hire a canoe and gently paddle along the river at Bungay, where you may catch sight of an otter at Outney Meadow or explore the Broads with The Canoe Man.  For sea air, try Southwold, Caister-on-Sea, Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft. Go Ape at Thetford Forest; go wild at BeWILDerwood; or potter around the pretty villages of the Waveney Valley.

Amble around the house and gardens at Blickling Hall, or the The Bressingham Gardens. Head down to Jimmy’s Farm Jimmys Farm, explore Banham Zoo, or head for the coast and Sea Life Sea Life.

There are excellent quiet country walks from the house, yet we are only a 25 minute drive from Norwich, where you will find shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, a castle and two cathedrals. Just outside Norwich (less than 25 minutes from Le Grys Farm) is the only dry ski slope in Norfolk. Here you might have a skiing lesson, or try tubing .  Along the road from the ski slope is Whitlingham Country Park where you can try your hand at windsurfing, sailing, archery and kayaking.
